Leaders for Change Conference
Leaders for Change is a 3.5 day annual convening of our FYIA Network- including community building, local showcases, youth-led workshops, and issue-building across groups. With tons of celebration, talent shows, and fun!!
Network Meeting (Quarterly!)
FYIA Quarterly Network Meetings are opportunities for members to amplify local issues, share strategies and tools, and make critical decisions on Network actions throughout the year. Each group will choose 1-2 Members to present their local campaign but the meeting is open to all members. Gift Cards will be sent to Members to buy food during the meeting and there will be a $100 Raffle each meeting!
National People's Agenda
The National People’s Agenda is a member workgroup that meets the 1st Friday of each month to build a national campaign that will lift up a collective set of priorities from members at the grassroots that will drive both national and local work across the country. The People’s Agenda workgroup will be accountable to the larger FYIA Network and responsible for participating in Quarterly Network Meetings.
Supporter Wellness
Supporter Wellness is dedicated time every 4th Friday of the Month for Supporters and Staff in the FYIA Network to connect, share, and hold space with each other each month. It is a place for collective care, networking, and sharing support.
Restorative Sundays
Restorative Sundays are the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month. This is an intergenerational community led by and for anyone with lived experience in foster care and other state systems to connect, share what’s on our hearts, and restore before the week ahead.
Local Huddles
Local Huddles are held on the 2nd Friday of each Month for FYIA Members to continue connecting and building power around shared issues and policy priorities lifted up at Leaders for Change. Breakout rooms, 1:1 connections with local groups, dedicated strategizing time!
